ParkScope Privacy

A clear, plain-language overview of how ParkScope handles your data.

Summary

ParkScope is designed to work without requiring an account. The app fetches park data — like wait times, schedules and related metadata — from network sources. As with most internet services, standard server logs may record basic request information for security and reliability (timestamps, requested endpoints, and device/network metadata such as IP address and user agent).

Data ParkScope may process

App settings & on-device data

Preferences (like display options) and features (like favorites or visit logs) may be stored on your device so ParkScope can function as expected.

Network requests

When ParkScope loads park data, your device makes requests to data services. Those services may keep standard operational logs.

Optional location usage

Some features may optionally request location permission (for example, “nearby parks” or visit-based tools). You can use ParkScope without enabling location access.

Third-party services

ParkScope may display data sourced from third parties (such as weather providers and Apple services). Their handling of data is governed by their own policies.

What we do not do

Changes

This page may be updated as ParkScope evolves. For a more formal App Store-compliant policy, this page can be expanded with an effective date, specific data categories and contact details.
